STQC HQ, besides overall management of laboratories and centers, coordinates knowledge based activates like Training, Certification and IT Services. Dedicated IT services like Training & Certification in Information Security Management, S/W Quality Engineering, Software Testing and IT Services Management are provided by six IT Services Centers (co-located in ERTL/ETDCs Campus) at Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune & Chennai. A Penetration Test Laboratory is located at Kolkata.

Four Electronics Regional Test laboratories (ERTLs) at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram and 10 Electronics Test & Development Centres (ETDCs) at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati, Agartala, Solan, Mohali, Pune and Jaipur) are directly under the Administrative control of Department of IT, STQC Dte. and function as subordinate offices.

STQC has been providing internationally accredited certification services to industries and other organizations in the area of Quality Management (ISO 9001), Environment Management (ISO 14000), Information Security Management System (ISO 27001), IT service Management System (ISO 20001), Product Safety and EMI/EMC. Four Regional Certification Centres at Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore are providing these services.

Centre for Reliability (CFR) at Chennai deals with Reliability aspects in Hardware and Software and Indian Institute of Quality Management (IIQM) at Jaipur provides trainings in Quality related areas.

Centres for Electronics Test Engineering (CETEs) at Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and NOIDA (UP) helps in Training and enhancing the skills of technical personnel in Test Engineering and Quality Control techniques in the field of Electronics and IT. These Centers have been setup with technical and financial assistance from GTZ Germany and have state-of-art hands-on-training equipment.
